We are a Melbourne (Australia) based independent IT Services and Consulting Company operating across a range of technologies and vendors; we are expanding rapidly and have established positions for graduates to enter at a junior level and work their way up through the company. You will be part of the Network Operations Team based in Manilla and provide 24/7 support for our customers.
We are looking for passionate individuals who can work independently and proactively with focus on Customer Service and Time Management.
Our focus areas are desktop virtualisation, networking, cloud and security.
Successful applicants will be mentored throughout the first 6 to twelve months of employment. It's expected that during this period they would also obtain additional technical vendor certifications.
No work experience required. Open for fresh graduates / career shifters.
What are we looking for?
- Candidates who are at least 18 years old and above
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, this role requires a high degree of interaction with customers at all levels in an organisation.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work on shifting schedules
- Requirement for some travel
Technical skill sets required
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc).
- Knowledge of routing and switching.
- Knowledge and familiarity of operating systems particularly Windows and Linux/BSD.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting.
- Knowledge of databases
- Knowledge of Website development (HTTP, javascript, php, ASP.NET, xml, etc)
- Any vendor certifications would be highly valued (i.e., CCNA, MCSE, RHCE, etc)
Typical responsibilities would include
- 24/7 Technical Support (On roaster)
-Handling Service Desk Ticketing System and providing break fix and issue resolution.
- Assisting with ad-hoc technical support and project work.
- Documentation including, Monthly reports, As Built document and Change plan.
- Presentation and internal training.
