Qualification
• A graduate of Business Administration / Management / Engineering or any related field
• Atleast 3 yrs of experience
• Must have experience handling transport services / logistics
• Must be a good communicator / good in handling clients
• Can start asap

Job Responsibilities

Logistics:
• Planning routes and load scheduling for multi-drop deliveries.
• Booking in deliveries and liaising with customers.
• Allocating and recording resources and movements on the transport planning system.
• Ensuring all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicating effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.
• Booking sub-contractors and ensuring they deliver within agreed terms.

Transport management:
• Directing all transportation activities.
• Developing transportation relationships.
• Monitoring transport costs.
• Negotiating and bargaining transportation prices.
• Dealing with the effects of congestion.
• Confronting climate change issues by implementing transport strategies and monitoring an organization’s carbon footprint. knowledgeable in vehicle parts
• Plan, coordinate and oversee the routing, scheduling and daily transportation services
• Assure compliance with time schedules and applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations
• Oversee the daily operations of the dispatch office; monitor two-way radios of District vehicles and contract companies
• Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff
• Plan the effective and efficient development of service routes;
• Monitor routes daily and make necessary adjustments for logistics and related issues; coordinate time off for drivers; arrange for substitutes as necessary
• Receive and respond to inquiries concerning routing, logistics, and other transportation questions continuously survey the existing transportation program for safety, service costs and areas in need of improvement; advise management of needs involving safety and legal matters
• Confer with Fleet Maintenance personnel regarding repairs and preventative maintenance of vehicles; monitor status of repairs; inform management of the need for additional drivers and equipment
• Attend a variety of meetings, conferences and workshops to maintain current knowledge of and assist in the implementation of safety and transportation codes, regulations, laws and related matters
• Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to routing, schedules, liquidations, accidents and other transportation servicesreview daily time reports, service records, fuel use and vehicle inspection records.
• Receive and respond to driver accidents; drive to accident scenes and conduct internal accident investigations; gather information, take photos and assist
• Perform related duties as assigned
